Several Nordic airports and airport operators have released their passenger numbers for October.
Avinor:
• 4.5 million passengers in October, a 1.5% increase from 2022.
• 8% behind 2019 numbers.
• Spain remains the largest destination, 7% above 2019 levels.
• Decreased traffic to Sweden and Denmark by 21% and 12%, respectively.
Swedavia:
• 2.9 million passengers in October, a 6% increase from the previous year.
• International travel drives the upward trend, with domestic travel at 70% of 2019 levels.
• Some regional airports, like Luleå, show a strong recovery, nearing pre-pandemic levels.
Finavia:
• 1,526,736 passengers in October, a 5.2% increase from the same period in 2022.
• Helsinki Airport saw 1,343,343 passengers, a 6.3% increase from October 2022.
Copenhagen Airport:
• 2.5 million passengers in October, a 12% increase from the previous year.
• October experienced busy days, with around 100,000 passengers on par with summer levels.
• Higher travel during school fall holidays to Southern Europe and larger European cities.
